The Purpose and The Invitation

The Equity Prof LLC is dedicated to educating on equity and excellence for the purpose of preparing and supporting educational equity professionals. Many people are eager to learn more about educational equity and justice but have not had access to consulting or professional learning of this nature. The need to create more spaces for learning and understanding these topics has always existed. That need continues to grow. countless Education communities are looking to gain pedagogical content knowledge and ready-to-use, evidence-based strategies to promote and sustain their growth. On the frontlines of K-16 classrooms, many educators name feeling underprepared to meet the moments that face them and many students name needing the educators in the room to be more prepared. Let's support educators and students by increasing access to knowledge and strategies for the good of all staff, students, and schools.

Meredith Madden, Ph.D.

With two decades of experience spanning higher education and K–12 systems, I bring a deep understanding of what it takes to advance equity, excellence, and coherence in today’s schools. My career began as a K–12 special education teacher in the Bronx and Finger Lakes regions of New York State, grounding my work in classroom realities. As a professor, I prepared future educators across community college, liberal arts, and research university settings. Today, as the founder of The Equity Prof LLC, I partner with K–16 institutions to deliver high-impact professional learning in Culturally Responsive–Sustaining Education (CRSE), equity-centered instructional design, and Portrait of a Graduate alignment. My work bridges policy and practice—supporting educators and leaders in translating aspirational competencies into instructional strategy, assessment design, and school culture transformation that improves outcomes for all students.

I bring a scholarly foundation and practical perspective to every partnership, drawing from experience publishing in peer-reviewed journals, university presses, and widely read education media platforms.
