Through consulting, professional learning, coaching, student programs, scholarship, and resources, we advance dialogue as a catalyst for stronger relationships, relational trust, shared meaning-making, deeper understanding, collaborative learning, and growth.

The Center for Portrait Classrooms partners with schools and districts to transform Portrait of a Graduate visions into everyday instructional practice. Through consulting, professional learning, coaching, and resources grounded in culturally responsive-sustaining education, we help educators develop the instructional competencies and readiness needed to bring Portrait competencies to life for every student for all students in every classroom.
Meet the Founder
Dr. Meredith Madden is the founder and lead consultant of The Equity Prof LLC, an educational organization dedicated to advancing instructional excellence, strengthening dialogue across perspectives, and shaping the future of teaching, learning, and leading through the Madden Center for Portrait Classrooms and
the Madden Center for Dialogue.
Dr. Madden partners with school districts, higher education institutions, and other mission-driven organizations to strengthen instruction, communication, collaboration, and leadership. Her work brings together instructional practice, dialogue facilitation, Portrait of a Graduate implementation, and professional development to help partners build capacity for creating meaningful, lasting impact.
Dr. Madden is the author of Dear Students: 10 Letters to Empower and Transform Your Higher Education Journey and co-author of Rise for Racial Justice. She holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Foundations of Education from Syracuse University and is a nationally recognized speaker, facilitator, scholar, and consultant.
